MANİSA CELAL BAYAR UNIVERSITY CARRIED OUT THE FIRST PILOT TRAINING OF THE UP HOLD PROJECT
Manisa Celal Bayar University held the first training for women who are not in employment or education within the scope of the EU Project “Upsilling The Women in NEET: From Household Economies To Leading Enterprises (UP – HOLD)” coordinated by Pendik Municipality in Manisa.
The first training on “Household Economics Management and Financial Literacy”, held within the scope of the project in which our university is a partner, was held at the MCBU Cinema Hall between September 30 and October 2. In the pilot training attended by nearly fifty women, topics such as recycling, waste management, emergency fund preparation, family budgeting, home economics management, as well as financial issues, banking transactions and insurance were covered. In addition, grants and other supports given to women by the state and private institutions and organizations were also discussed. The training, in which blended training methods were used, was enriched with theoretical knowledge as well as various activities in which the participants took part. On the one hand, physical activities and on the other hand, techniques applied using the internet made the three-day training very productive.
The mentioned trainings were given by Prof.Dr. from the project team. Hatice Yurtsever, Assoc. Pinar Pehlivan and Dr. It was given by Lecturer Lale Yakupoğlu. Besides, Lecturer Dr. Gülşen Altıntaş also supported activities and practices. In addition, a Manisa İş-Kur staff provided detailed information on the support given by the Institution to women.
The second of the pilot trainings, which the participants were very satisfied with, will be held on Digital Competence in the coming months.
