MANİSA CELAL BAYAR UNIVERSITY CARRIED OUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND E-SALES TRAINING, THE THIRD PILOT TRAINING OF UP-HOLD PROJECT
Entrepreneurship and e-Sales training for women who are not in employment or education within the scope of the EU Project named “Upsilling The Women in NEET: From Household Economies To Leading Enterprises (UP – HOLD)” was held by Manisa Celal Bayar University in Manisa.
Manisa Celal Bayar University, a partner of the UP-HOLD project, first conducted the “Home Economics Management and Financial Literacy” training on September 30 – October 2, 2021, and the “Digital Competence” training on March 10-11, 2022, within the scope of the project. MCBU held the “Entrepreneurship and e-Sales” training, the third and final pilot training of the project, on 6-7 October 2022.
On the first day of the entrepreneurship and e-sales training, the participants were informed about the concept of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, types of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship process, business plan, incentives for women entrepreneurs. On the second day, information was given about the basic functions of entrepreneurship, the problems experienced by entrepreneurs, women’s entrepreneurship, the definition of e-commerce, types of e-commerce, payment methods in e-commerce, and the e-commerce process. In addition, on both days of the training, which was carried out using Web 2.0 tools, successful business women operating in Manisa shared their experiences in the entrepreneurship process in order to support the motivation of the participants.
Said trainings were given by Prof. Dr. Hatice Yurtsever, Dr. Lecturer Lale Yakupoğlu, Doç. Dr. İsmail Metin and İŞKUR Business Club Leader Nurcan Sayı. In addition, Emel Uslu from Metis Kalıp Company from the Business World, Mine Erbaykent from Mikor Company, Huriye Yılmaz Uslu from HM TURKIYE, Hatice Koçalp Yılmaz from Lenis Global Company and Dr. Alla Melnyk Metin, an entrepreneur with Etsy application, shared their success stories and became role models for the participants.
The UPHOLD project, coordinated by Pendik Municipality and partnered with Manisa Celal Bayar University, together with Topcoach (Slovakia), Solidaridad Sin Fronteras (Spain) and Autokreacja (Poland), will be completed at the end of 2022.
